Melina van der Werf is a tattoo artist and self taught illustrator. Her style derives inspiration from Asian style tattooing and fantasy, while she is drawn towards the bold, dark and dramatic with a soft spot for delicate femininity.

Her multicultural background reflects on her artistic style. Asian art and European impressionism being the main influences that shaped her visual world growing up, carved a clear creative path and aesthetic taste. Dystopic fantasy worlds and the dark and surreal of the human condition serve as inspiration to her need to channel inner turbulence into visual expression. Theres always a new concept that occupies her mind and is looking for the most creative way to tackle it. When she’s not working on a new tattoo design or a new painting, she’s gaming, watching movies, anime and listens to her favourite musicians non stop.
